How to search your saved TikTok videos

Where your saved TikToks actually live

Your saves sit on your profile rather than anywhere in the main feed. Open your profile and tap the bookmark icon. Your saved videos appear under Posts, with Collections alongside them.

The grid is ordered by when you saved each video, newest first. That ordering is the only organisation TikTok gives you by default.

1. Open TikTok and go to your profile.
2. Tap the bookmark icon near the top of the screen.
3. Your saved videos appear under Posts.
4. Collections sit alongside, holding anything you have filed yourself.

Option one: scroll the grid

This is what most people do. Open Favorites and scroll until the right thumbnail appears.

It works fine for something you saved last week. It gets slow at a few hundred saves and it breaks down entirely for videos where the thumbnail says nothing about the content. One person talking to camera looks like every other person talking to camera.

Option two: sort saves into Collections

TikTok lets you group saves into Collections, which work like folders you name yourself. Tap and hold a saved video to add it to one.

Collections are genuinely useful. The catch is that they only cover videos you have already filed, and filing happens by hand. Almost nobody goes back through three years of saves. The usual pattern is starting a Collection, using it for a couple of weeks, and never opening it again.

Option three: find it again through the main search bar

The search bar at the top of TikTok searches all of public TikTok. It does not search your saves, so this is not really searching your library. It is finding the video a second time the way you found it the first time.

Type the most specific thing you remember. The creator name works best. An unusual phrase from the caption works well too. Once you land on the video, check the bookmark icon to confirm it is still in your Favorites.

This works more often than you would expect for popular videos. It fails for small creators, and it fails whenever you remember what someone said rather than what was written on screen.

What all three have in common

Every option above depends on you remembering something TikTok can see. A thumbnail, a caption, a creator name, a folder you made earlier.

The thing you actually remember is usually none of those. You remember what the person said. The name of the ingredient. The one tip that made you save it. TikTok has no record of what was said in any video you saved, so it cannot help you find it that way.

Search your saves by what was said

This is the gap Quiki fills. It transcribes each saved video and indexes the words, so you search the audio rather than the thumbnail.
