Your Free Quiki Account Just Got a Lot Better

We have spent the last several releases making the free Quiki experience genuinely useful from the very first second, not a stripped-down trial that nags you to upgrade. If you have a free account, or you have been meaning to make one, here is everything that is new.

A library that is full on day one

The old empty dashboard was a problem. You signed up, you saw nothing, and you had to go find a video before Quiki did anything interesting.

Now every new account starts with a curated starter library already loaded. Real videos, real AI summaries, ready to explore the moment you log in. You can search them, open them, and see exactly what Quiki does before you scan a single thing of your own.

A redesigned dashboard

We rebuilt the home screen as a magazine-style layout instead of a plain list. It includes:

• A rotating daily pick highlighted at the top so there is always something fresh to look at.
• A featured Quiki Original tile showcasing standout content.
• A welcome banner that greets new accounts and points you at the good stuff.

The whole thing is designed to make your growing collection feel like something worth coming back to.

Sign in your way

Creating an account is faster now. You can sign up and log in with Google or with Apple, in addition to a regular email and password. The social options sit right at the top of the sign-in screen, so you can be in and scanning in seconds.

Search that actually understands you

Your library search got a serious upgrade. You can now combine terms, exclude words, search exact phrases, and filter by platform, author, folder, or whether a video has a transcript. For example you can ask for cooking videos that are not ads, or everything from a specific creator on TikTok. There is a built-in help button that shows you the full syntax whenever you need it.

We also made TikTok transcripts searchable, so the words spoken in a video are now part of what you can find.

Deeper, smarter analysis

Behind the scenes, Quiki's analysis got richer for everyone. Our deep analysis now listens to a video's audio and looks at its actual frames, not just the text and metadata. That means summaries that better reflect what is really happening on screen and in the soundtrack.

More reliable, more honest

We also did a lot of quiet work to make the free experience solid:

• We fixed a bug that could stop brand-new accounts from getting their starter library, so signups land on a full dashboard every time.
• We improved how the app behaves when our servers are briefly unreachable, with a clear banner instead of a confusing blank screen.
• We made it easy to switch back to the free tier at any time if you ever decide pay-as-you-go is not for you.
